Upgrade with the Dichroma BF190 Bug Zapper Bulb

The BF190 is a purpose-built replacement bulb designed for Flowtron BK-40D electronic insect killers. It uses a T8 32W configuration and a 4-pin base, delivering a bright, targeted glow outdoors without chemical repellents.

Beyond simple replacement, this bulb is built to perform under routine outdoor use. It provides a steady light that attracts mosquitoes, gnats, moths, and other flying insects toward the grid, helping you enjoy evenings, patios, and entryways with less pest activity.

Key benefits

  • Attracts common flying pests without chemicals, supporting a cleaner outdoor space.
  • Long-lasting performance—up to about 3,000 hours of continuous operation.
  • Easy compatibility with Flowtron BK-40D, ensuring a straightforward swap when needed.

What you get

  • 1x BF190 bug zapper bulb, ready for installation and use.
  • Clear option designed for standard outdoor insect killers.

Installation & care

  • Unplug the device and allow it to sit for 2 hours to discharge accumulated electricity.
  • Handle the glass tube with care—the bulb is delicate and can break if mishandled.

Notes: The light tube is fragile; if shipping damage occurs or the bulb arrives nonfunctional, we offer a replacement as needed. This is a non-chemical solution meant to attract pests, not to guarantee results in all environments.

Compatibility and usage tips

  • Compatible with Flowtron BK-40D electronic insect killer; not compatible with BK-15D or BK-80D.
  • Requires a 4-pin U-type base and a 10-inch bulb form factor.
