Flexible hatching options

Indoors, place the ootheca in a warm spot where temperatures stay between 75 and 85°F. Nymphs may appear in as little as 2 weeks or as long as 6 weeks. At around 70°F, hatching can extend to 2–12 weeks. Outdoors, position the ootheca in the crotch of a plant or hang it 1–2 feet off the ground within the tree canopy to shield eggs from animals and birds.
