SkeeterVac SV5100 Mosquito Killer - 1+ Acre Backyard Insect Eliminator

Overview

The SkeeterVac SV5100 Mosquito Killer is engineered for larger outdoor spaces, helping you create more comfortable moments in the yard. With the ability to cover 1+ acres, it’s designed to support backyard parties, picnics, and barbecues by drawing insects away from seating and activity zones. The unit communicates a practical, purpose-built approach to outdoor pest management without promising unattainable results.

Designed for flexible placement, the SV5100 is cordless, so you’re not tethered to outlets or cords. An electronic ignition simplifies starting the system when you’re ready to enjoy time outside. The device uses a CO2-based attractant with a rating of 35,000 cc/hour, which helps draw flying insects toward the unit’s lure from around the yard. Propane is used for generating the attractant, and the propane tank is sold separately. Weather, wind, and environmental conditions can influence performance, so ongoing placement adjustments may help optimize effectiveness.

Real-life backyards vary in layout and activity level, from shaded patios to wide-open lawns. In practice, you might position the SV5100 near gathering areas, along walkways, or near where meals and conversations take place. The goal is to establish a focal point that draws insects away from guests while you enjoy outdoor time with family and friends.

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for placement, cleaning and electrical safety. Devices and traps of this type are not EPA-registered and results vary by species, siting and conditions.
