Winterize Your Yard & Water Systems

Two things cost real money over a winter: water left standing in a hose line or spigot that then freezes and splits, and a cover that pools water instead of shedding it and drags a seam open.

This collection pairs the covers — furniture, full sets, grills, umbrellas — with the hose fittings, shut-offs and drains that empty an irrigation or hose run, plus snow-removal gear for when it arrives.

Measure covers over the widest point of the set with the umbrella removed, and choose a shape with a peak or a support pole so water runs off. Disconnect every hose from its spigot before the first freeze; a connected hose is what usually bursts the pipe behind the wall.
