How to use and maintain

Before you begin, ensure pool equipment is operating correctly. Check stabilizer levels (aim for 40–100 ppm), test pH, alkalinity, and calcium hardness, and adjust to the recommended ranges. Set pH to 7.4–7.6 for best results.

• Start-Up: If the water is cloudy or green, shock the pool until it clears. Add 16 ounces of the tabs per 10,000 gallons to the feeder or floater and circulate for at least 4 hours, then test free available chlorine (FAC) and adjust to 2–4 ppm. Afterward, add an algaecide as directed.
• Maintenance: Add 16 ounces per 10,000 gallons per week (or as needed) to keep FAC in the 2–4 ppm range. Reentry into treated pools is not recommended when FAC exceeds 3 ppm for safety reasons.
